FILMSTOCK is the event we are renowned for. It is the central part of what we do and the doorway to new friends and global places to stay. It is now 7 years old and flourishing. The last 2 events have seen the festival truly grow into the initial vision we had for it.

2005 saw the festival invited to Debrecen, the 2nd largest city in Hungary and we’d be lying if we said the things we have achieved throughout these pages, were not all linked with the success of our festival.

It is a celebration of independent film in content and attitude. It showcases our ethical nature as a business and has a formidable reputation amongst international filmmakers as a truly welcoming event.

We are extremely proud of our ‘Filmstock Family’.

"FILMSTOCK is the warmest and most professionally run festival I can imagine. Born of friendship which extends to every filmmaker and love for film that inspires" - Mike Fleisch, Boston filmmaker

"FILMSTOCK is an unmissable event in my calendar" - Vicky, Luton

"Just a note to say thank you for your incredible hospitality and generosity. I have been truly amazed by you dedication to the limitless human interactions possible in the creation and sharing of art and ideas. Your work here is incredibly inspiring and I wish you all the best in the coming year" - Drew Edwards, NYC

“Glorious from the word go! Bless you for all your hard work. I do not want to go home” – Michael Immel, Actor/Filmmaker

“A great experience all round. More than worth the trip across the big pond. The quality of the film experience was only excelled by the quality of the festival experience” – David & David, USA

We programme the festival entirely, well apart from ‘Montage’ where we hand that responsibility over to a guest filmmaker who is given the opportunity to curate a season of their favourite films, to screen alongside a selection of their finest hours.

Previously the season has been programmed by Jim Sheridan and Mike Hodges and discussions are underway for the 2006 curator.
